Padiquette

How we get along · updated 2026-10-07

PATV is a bunch of pads full of people who like to talk, joke, argue and hang out - online and in the Camfrog rooms. Padiquette is how we keep that fun without turning it into a hall monitor's dream. It's short on purpose: say what you think, swear if you want, and don't make the place worse for other people.

The short version

Say what you want, how you want — just don't make the place worse for other people. We'd rather have a loud, funny, slightly unhinged crowd than a polite, empty one. The few hard limits below are about real harm to real people, not about being offended.

Good pad manners

Be a decent human

There's a person on the other end of every post, cam and mic. Roast the take, not the person's kid.

Don't be a dick for sport

Banter is great. Picking on someone who clearly isn't playing along, over and over, isn't banter.

Respect the pad's own rules

Every pad can set its own rules. If you're posting in someone's pad, read them - they win over this page inside that pad.

Tag it NSFW

Adult stuff is allowed. Just tick the 🔞 NSFW box so people can choose when they see it.

Credit creators

Posting someone's clip, art, music or meme? Say where it came from. Don't pass off other people's work as yours.

Report, don't retaliate

If something crosses a line, hit Report. Starting a war in the comments just makes two problems.

No brigading

Don't round up a crowd to pile onto a person, a post or another pad.

No spam, no scams

Post things people might actually want to see. No ad floods, fake giveaways, PAT schemes or engagement farming.

Totally fine here

PATV gives a wide latitude to free speech and unfiltered language. None of this breaks Padiquette on its own:

Swearing and unfiltered language

Curse all you like. Nobody's washing your mouth out with soap.

Dark and crude humour

Edgy jokes, gallows humour and bad taste are part of the culture here.

Roasting and trash talk

Roasts, insults and banter between people who are in on it are fine - that's half of chat.

Hot takes and strong opinions

Politics, religion, sports, music, that one movie: argue it out. Disagreeing loudly is not harassment.

Adult topics

Sex, drugs, relationships, nightlife, frank talk - fine, as long as it's legal and anything explicit is tagged NSFW.

A pad can be stricter than this — a pad for kids' cartoons might ban swearing, a support pad might ban roasting. If a pad has its own rules, they're on the pad page and next to the post box. Respect them while you're there.

The hard limits

These hold in every pad, whatever its own rules say. Breaking them gets content hidden or removed, and the serious ones get accounts banned.

AI pictures and video

PATV is adults-only (18+). Pictures and videos made with Pepe (!imagine, !video, the feed's ✨ Generate) follow these rules - the same in chat and on the site:

No explicit nudity — suggestive is fine. Nothing sexual with minors or real people.

Pepe checks the prompt before anything is charged and the result before it's posted. A refused prompt costs nothing; a refused result is refunded.

Pad rules

Pad owners can write up to 15 rules of their own. A pad with no rules follows Padiquette. Owners run their own pads — they can approve, hide and remove posts in them and ban people from posting there — but they can't make anything on the hard-limits list OK.

Pepe's automod

A pad owner can switch on Pepe's automod. Pepe then reads new posts and comments in that pad and checks them against the pad's rules (or Padiquette) and the hard limits. He's told, in so many words, that swearing, dark jokes, roasting, hot takes and adult topics are not violations.

When something crosses the line

Report it, don't retaliate. Use Report in the ⋯ menu of any post or comment, or Report user on a profile. Pad owners see reports about their pad; site admins see everything, and child-safety reports go straight to them. Reporting in bad faith (to get someone you don't like in trouble) can pause your reports.

Think a mod, a pad owner or Pepe got it wrong? Ask the pad owner first. If that doesn't sort it, appeal to the site admins — see Moderation and appeals in the Terms.
