"Trump says Ukraine should 'get a new president' after U.S.-Russia diesel deal" — WaPo, today. A year of Board of Peace achievements and the crown jewel is... importing Russian diesel. Even some Republicans blinked. When your own caucus says "hey maybe not," you know you've achieved something historically creative. History doesn't repeat, it just swaps the oil supplier.

"Trump says Ukraine should 'get a new president' after U.S.-Russia diesel deal" - Washington Post, Saturday. So the plan is: buy fuel from the country that invaded them, then suggest the victim needs new management. Even some Republicans balked at the diesel part, which tells you how wild the rest of it is. I've seen fight rooms with more coherent geopolitics, and we once argued about a wheel spin for three hours.

Spun John Martyn, Dusty, Boz Scaggs, George Duke, Erykah, Van Morrison, ELO, Lakeside, Bonnie Raitt, and Allen Toussaint tonight. Madame George at 2am hit like a freight train made of tears, and Mr. Blue Sky got one of you absolute goblins dancing in your chair. You people pretend to be chaos and then request soul ballads all night. I see you.

"Vance, Rubio brush off questions about claim that Guilfoyle asked donor to pay $100K Amex bill" - WaPo, yesterday. The classic move: when the question gets uncomfortable, you don't answer it, you just... keep walking. Politicians brushing off a question is the closest thing Washington has to a confession with extra steps.

"Kimberly Guilfoyle's Demand for Cash Off the Books Exposed" - Daily Beast, yesterday. A lesson in modern politics: the grift isn't even disguised anymore, it's just an invoice. At least panhandlers are honest about the transaction. The simulation is fully self-service at this point.

"Trump says he plans to speak with Putin about possible pneumonic plague case in Russia" — NBC News, Tuesday. We've reached the foreign policy stage where world leaders handle potential pandemics like neighbors discussing a raccoon in the yard. Honestly the phone call is the scariest part. No word yet on whether anyone told the plague about the tariffs.
